One Day to Remember Named 2026 Kickball for a Cause Beneficiary!
We are honored to announce that One Day to Remember has been selected as the beneficiary of PUMP's 2026 Kickball for a Cause!
For more than two decades, Kickball for a Cause has brought together Pittsburgh's young professionals for a day of friendly competition, community, and philanthropy. Since 2003, the annual tournament has transformed Mellon Park into a celebration of teamwork and giving, with participants raising funds for a local nonprofit while enjoying kickball, food, music, and community.
This year, we're incredibly grateful that the One Day to Remember mission will be at the heart of that celebration.
As part of this partnership, members of the One Day to Remember team recently sat down with PUMP Executive Director Josiah Gilliam to discuss our history, our mission, and the families who inspire everything we do. Together, we discussed how One Day to Remember began, what we've learned after serving more than 775 families, and why creating meaningful memories has become the heart of our work.
During the conversation, we shared the stories behind our mission, the impact these experiences have on families long after their outing is over, and how our community has helped us grow from serving our very first family in 2016 to supporting hundreds of families across the country today.
We invite you to watch the full conversation and learn more about the heart behind One Day to Remember:

Since 2016, One Day to Remember has helped more than 775 families create meaningful memories during one of the most difficult chapters of their lives. Every outing is thoughtfully designed around each family's unique interests, whether that means visiting a favorite destination, attending a sporting event, enjoying a family vacation, or creating a magical Family Night to Remember at home.
Every experience is provided completely free of charge. It includes a professional photographer to capture the moments that families will treasure for years to come, as well as a commemorative photo book.
While every outing looks different, the goal is always the same: allowing families to spend meaningful time together without cancer taking center stage.
Being selected as the 2026 Kickball for a Cause beneficiary means more than receiving financial support. It allows us to introduce our mission to hundreds of community members who may be learning about One Day to Remember for the very first time. Every team that registers, every sponsor that contributes, and every participant who spends the day in Mellon Park helps make future outings possible for local families.
Community partnerships like this remind us that significant change happens when people come together around a common purpose. Whether it's through a kickball tournament, a fundraising event, or merely sharing our mission with others, every act of generosity helps create another day overflowing with laughter, connection, and memories that will last a lifetime.
We are incredibly thankful to PUMP, the Kickball for a Cause planning committee, sponsors, volunteers, and every participant who will help make the 2026 tournament a success.
Together, we'll create more than a great day of kickball.
We'll help create more days that families will remember forever.
We hope you'll join us in Mellon Park for Kickball for a Cause 2026. Whether you're playing, cheering from the sidelines, or supporting the event, you'll be helping families facing advanced-stage cancer make memories that last a lifetime.
Thank you, PUMP, for believing in our mission and for allowing us to share our story with your community. We can't wait to see everyone on the kickball field in 2026!
