It sounds so cliché, but volunteering and spending time with a family really makes you appreciate all of the little things that life has to offer, and you get back so much more than you give. These families are facing life and death situations and they are filled with joy and fun, and it’s contagious. I had a blast with both of the families that I had the honor of accompanying. Thank you Rachel for creating these incredible experiences!

Assisting on my first One Day To Remember outing was absolutely life changing for me. To see the joy and happiness on the faces of kids who are experiencing the hardship of having a parent with a life threatening illness was so moving. It really brings home the notion that in giving we receive.
