To be eligible, the applicant must:
Be diagnosed with advanced-stage cancer of any type.
Have at least one child under the age of 18 living in their home.
Receive medical clearance from their oncologist.

One Day To Remember serves individuals diagnosed with advanced-stage cancer of any type. This includes both solid tumor and blood cancers when they have reached an advanced stage.
If you’re unsure whether your diagnosis qualifies, we encourage you to submit an application or contact us. Every application is reviewed individually, and we’re happy to answer any questions about eligibility.

Yes. You are still welcome to apply if your cancer is currently stable or no evidence of disease. You do not have to be actively receiving treatment or experiencing disease progression to be eligible.
As long as you have been diagnosed with advanced-stage cancer, meet our eligibility requirements, and receive medical clearance from your oncologist, we encourage you to apply.

If you don’t meet our current eligibility guidelines, we encourage you to reach out anyway. While we may not be able to provide a One Day To Remember, we may be able to connect you with other organizations or resources that can help.

No. You do not have to be actively receiving treatment to qualify. We welcome applications from families in many different parts of their cancer journey.

Once you submit your completed application, you can typically expect to hear from a member of the One Day To Remember team within 48 to 72 hours. During that time, we’ll review your application, discuss the next steps, and answer any questions you may have.

Once you’re approved, you’ll be paired with a member of our team who will work closely with you to learn about your family, your interests, and your wish list. From there, we’ll handle the planning so you can focus on spending quality time together.

Every One Day To Remember is completely personalized to your family’s interests and wishes. We work closely with you to create a meaningful experience designed specifically for your family which include an activity, meals and photo session!

Absolutely. Every One Day To Remember is personalized specifically for your family. During the planning process, we’ll get to know your interests, favorite activities, and what would make the day most meaningful to you. No two outings are exactly alike.

We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.

Yes. Previous respite vacations, wish trips, or similar experiences do not disqualify you from receiving a One Day To Remember.

Yes. Families receiving hospice or at home care care are still eligible. In many cases, we will create a personalized Family Night to Remember at home instead of an outing, allowing your family to make meaningful memories together in a setting that best meets your needs.

We cover travel for experiences located within approximately two hours of your home. While we provide transportation-related expenses for those outings, we are unable to cover airfare or plane tickets.

No. A One Day To Remember is designed as a special one-day experience. While the day may include multiple activities, meals, or accommodations when appropriate, we do not fund full weekend vacations or extended trips.

Yes. Every One Day To Remember includes a professional photographer arranged by our team so your family can focus on making memories while those moments are beautifully captured.

Nothing. There is absolutely no cost to your family. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and community partners, every One Day To Remember is provided free of charge.

One Day To Remember is designed to create meaningful memories with the people who matter most. Your outing includes your immediate household, including your children who live at home and one support person. If there are special family circumstances, we’re always happy to discuss them with you.
