When Divina was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in September of 2020, her youngest child was only 3 years old. With her husband gone for long stretches of time as an active-duty member of the military, and two teenagers plus a toddler to raise, Divina faced an incredible challenge. On her application for One Day to Remember, she wrote: "With my diagnosis, [my kids] sense the change in our family dynamic, the every day stress, and the physical change of treatment. I’d love to give them a fun day where cancer is not the #1 gray cloud hanging over our heads." We made Divina's dream come true...the kids were able to completely forget about cancer and everything they have been going through with their mom as they explored the slopes, drank hot chocolate, and enjoyed quality family time together at Northstar Resort in California.

We are sad to share that Divina passed away shortly after her One Day to Remember outing.
