Meet LaToya and Her Family
LaToya is a wife, a mother, and a fighter living with Stage IV breast cancer. She shares her life with her husband Nathan and their two children, Linea and Mason.
Since her diagnosis, life has been filled with emotional weight and uncertainty. One of the hardest parts, she shared, has been trying to stay positive while constantly thinking about how much time she may have left and how her illness is impacting her children.
Through it all, LaToya’s focus has remained clear. Her family is everything.
More than anything, she wants to leave behind meaningful memories for her children. Memories that remind them that their time together was precious, full of love, and deeply cherished.
Their One Day to Remember
For their One Day to Remember, LaToya and her family spent the day together enjoying a fun-filled outing at LEGOLAND, where they were able to step away from the stress of everyday life and simply be together.
The day was filled with laughter, exploration, and shared moments that felt light and joyful. For a family carrying so much, it offered something they had been needing, a chance to escape and just enjoy one another.
They also captured these special moments during a family photo session at Salesian Park, photographed by Tara Cirigliano, preserving memories they will hold onto for years to come.
More Than Just One Day
For LaToya, the most meaningful part of the experience was seeing the biggest smile on her son’s face.
That moment, simple and full of joy, meant everything to her. After so much stress at home and the constant weight of her diagnosis, seeing her child so happy brought a sense of peace and comfort.
It was a reminder of why these moments matter so deeply.
LaToya shared that this experience meant everything to her family.
In a life filled with uncertainty, this day gave them the chance to pause. To step away from worry. To focus on love, laughter, and connection.
For LaToya, this was about more than a single day. It was about creating something lasting for her children. A memory they can carry with them. A reminder that even in the hardest moments, their family shared joy, love, and time together.
She expressed deep gratitude for everyone who made the day possible, knowing that what was given to her family was truly special.
At One Day to Remember, this is why we exist. To give families like LaToya’s the opportunity to create meaningful moments that will live on in the hearts of those they love.
Why This Day Mattered
“My favorite part of the day was seeing the biggest smile on my son’s face. It melted my heart.
We have been so stressed out at home about everything and it was nice to get away from it all.
Thank you so much for everything that you guys did to make the day so special for my family and especially for me.
This meant everything to us.”
