June by the Numbers: 22 Families, 12 States, Countless Memories

Every month at One Day to Remember tells a different story.

Some stories unfold in front of Cinderella’s castle. Others begin at a baseball stadium, aboard a ferry to an island, or while feeding a giraffe. Some take place in the middle of a water park surrounded by laughter, while others happen quietly at home with a Family Night to Remember.

No matter where they happen, each outing shares one purpose: giving families facing advanced-stage cancer the opportunity to focus on one another instead of a diagnosis.

Throughout June, our team had the privilege of helping 22 families create meaningful memories across 12 states. Together, those outings provided 48 children with the chance to simply be kids . . . laughing, exploring, playing, and making memories with the people they love most.

Every outing is carefully planned around what matters most to each family. Whether it's meeting a favorite animal, cheering on a beloved sports team, or visiting a destination they've always dreamed of experiencing together, every detail is designed to create moments that will be remembered long after the day is over.

June's Adventures Included:

🏰 Disneyland and Magic Kingdom
🐬 Discovery Cove and SeaWorld
⚽ Cheering on Team USA at the FIFA World Cup
⚾ Major League Baseball games with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Kansas City Royals
🍌 A Savannah Bananas game
πŸ¦’ Up-close encounters with giraffes, penguins, lemurs, and bears
🦈 Exploring the Oklahoma Aquarium
🌊 A day trip to beautiful Monhegan Island
🎒 Thrills at King's Island, Canobie Lake Park, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas
🐺 A family getaway to Great Wolf Lodge
πŸ’› Two Family Nights to Remember, bringing the magic home for families unable to travel

While every destination looked different, the goal was always the same:

To create moments of joy. To strengthen family connections. To replace, even for just one day, the weight of appointments and treatments with laughter, adventure, and togetherness.

These outings are about so much more than vacations or tickets. They become stories families tell for years to come, photographs displayed in their homes, and memories that continue to bring comfort long after the outing has ended.

As we reflect on June, we're incredibly grateful to our donors, volunteers, partners, photographers, and supporters who make these experiences possible. Because of your generosity, 22 families were able to step away from cancer and step into moments they will treasure forever.

Thank you for helping us create more memories, one family at a time!
